AJAMCA
Anglo-Japanese Anime, Manga and Culture Association

Welcome

In recent years there has been an increase in the popularity of Anime and Manga around the world and particularly in the UK. This has been reflected in the number of people watching Anime, reading Manga and attending conventions and exhibitions in the UK.

There are a lot of references to Japanese culture and history in Anime and Manga particularly with regard to customs, festivals, legends and jokes or puns and these are not always obvious to people in Europe and America as a result of cultural differences and translation of Japanese into English and American English.

For many centuries there have been close cultural and economic links between Britain and Japan. AJAMCA aims to promote the awareness and understanding of Anime, Manga and Japanese culture in the UK and to strengthen cultural links between the UK and Japan.

The AJAMCA Forum
Hi All.

The AJAMCA Forum seems to be very quiet at the moment and people appear to be reading the posts but not joining the forum or posting anything themselves. We need more input from you, please tell us if there is anything you want us to add to the forum (or the website), if you have any questions or if you know something that you think other fans of Anime, Manga and Japanese Culture would be interested in. We would also be interested if anyone would like to send us any articles or essays that you would like us to add to the site.
